.......get back to my blog..!
There wasn't much in early December to blog about and then when there was we had weeks without phone or internet. We never did find out quite what the problem was. When that was fixed a massive gale blew down trees onto the power cables and we were without power for four days. In between times we've had colds, that felt like flu, and chest infections. We had Christmas too in between phones not working and no internet, which meant Anna couldn't chat to her family in Canada. We've had lots of snow and gales that have caused minor damage. All jobs to be done as we and the weather improve! Today the snow has nearly all gone and the sun has shone, and it's good to be back here again. If you're still there thank you for your patience. I love having a bit of a blog and I love reading other blogs too. A belated Happy New Year to you.

Wondered if you were ok what with high winds and snow. We haven't had the snow -just had to make do with winds! Love your photos!
Thank you ju-north. Hopefully the weather is going to settle down now for a bit! I think the worst has been the storm force gales. The house seemed to tremble at times!
I remember we had lots of lengthy power cuts when we lived in Scotland, a novelty that wore off after a day or so. Lets hope the worst is over and spring it on its way.
Happy New Year to you too, glad you survived it all. I hate not having the internet, makes me mean.
I'm glad you're back and blogging - I've missed your beautiful photos!!

Looks beautiful . . . but cold! As usual, your pictures turn the ordinary into the picturesque.
Happy New Year Ann! I've missed you & been worried for you. So glad you are ok. Hope this reaches you. Love Di XX
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. I feel encouraged! I hadn't thought my pictures particularly good of late. Now I shall carry on with renewed enthusiasm!
It is good to hear you are ok... I was wondering how long you were without the electricity... Last year I was without the electricity for 5 days starting day before the Christmas Eve... Lots of people around me have their own electric generator... Love Billie
Hello Billy! How lovely to hear from you. Generators are the way to go! We've just been offered one from our local farmer friend. Four days without power was long enough for us...I enjoyed a luxurious hot bath once the power came back on!
As usual your photos are really stunning. Do you take hundreds and hundreds, and whittle them down to the choice few? I think you have a fantastic eye.
Glad to hear that you have weathered the storms so far, pardon the pun. Winter can be hard work. Take care!
Hooray. I have been checking in! Please do carry on although I can see that you have been a bit hard pressed of late what with the weather and lack of power and bugs. Lovely to have your scenery back on the screen.
So that's where you've been! Far too many dramas and crises all at once, I'd say. Hope all will be well from now on, and that we can look forward to seeing Spring photos from you soon.
