Mostly Green

The weather has been warm and sunny, but there is talk of snow again on the hills! I bought some lettuce plants to go out in the flower borders but brought them indoors again today as it's going to get colder. The rhubarb is good though and appears not to mind the drop in temperature.
This isn't our garden by the way! I went last week with friends to Dundonnell House Garden. It's always worth a visit. This time I was taken with the newness of green and the lichen and the new paths being built.

What a beautiful garden! And your watercolour is also beautiful. I love this time of year when the trees are just beginning to be hazily green, and the countours of the city or the landscape are still visible through the growth.

The green is sudden, isn't it? Lovely and long-awaited.
Wow, your rhubarb is so far on. Down here in the east of Scotland mine is just beginning to show leaf.
My daughter is in your area today - how's the weather?

Linda, It has been warm here and the rhubarb, along with the grass, weeds and flowers sprang into action almost overnight! The weather is wet I'm afraid and chilly with snow on the hills.....perfect for spring!

Wow! What beautiful photos as usual. I didn't realise how much I liked green until I read your post! I do hope you are all well & that this message reaches you this time. Lots of love, Di XX

I'm very impressed with your rhubarb. In my house it would be headed towards a rhubarb crumble, but I expect you're doing something rather more creative.

I am also taken with your feet. Such a lovely picture with your trademark 'less is more' approach (is that a fair comment?...that how I see it anyway. That you reveal to us the beauty of the simple things that we might 'see' without really appreciating)
