I forgot to say. When we came back from Surrey, there was a very nice email from
ju-north saying she had just come back from a wonderful holiday in the north west highlands. They stayed in Lochinver and based on my photos (she said!) they came on a visit to Handa Island, seen here.
They also climbed Stac Pollaidh. I took this in May of last year. Stac Pollaidh is the little pointy mountain to the right of the picture. You can see ju-north's holiday photos
over here. I'm so pleased they enjoyed their visit. It certainly is beautiful here, in spite of the weather, which on occasions can be 'soggy' and the midges which are now out in force I notice, and on still, overcast days can be rather tiresome! But it seems a small price to pay in return for all this loveliness.

I told Julia (ju-north) about your blog some time ago mainly as her and her husband are both radio hams. She emailed me recently and said where she had been, I told her she should of given you a knock on the door and that you would of made her very welcomed, if you were there!!

What a beach Annie!!! Scotland certainly is a beautiful country - if only the weather were sunny more often and the midges fewer!
I'm going to see my sister in September and am really looking forward to seeing Scotland again.

Hi Dan, your right about the weather, though at the moment with sunshine and a slight breeze it's perfect, the midges have packed up and gone home!
