Some Days start with a wonderful promise - then quickly deteriorate..!
I was leaning out of the upstairs window at the gable end of the house this morning caught up in this beautiful sunrise. I've caught the edge of the satellite dish too. I should have removed it in Photoshop but decided to leave it for its realism!

I appreciate you getting up at dawn to take the picture because I never get up that early. I'm up late at night but not early in the morning.
It wasn't actually too early, between 8 and 9am I think. The sun is a late riser here too at this time of year!
But that illustrates perfectly the saying "Red at night, shepherds' delight. Red in the morning, shepherds' warning." Are there sheep on those hills?
Yes, there are sheep, on the lower slopes, though not too many as the human population isn't very great. We've had a good number trying to get into our garden (sheep, not humans!)since we moved here.
Wow what a stunning sunrise! I think the edge of the satellite dish is very effective, otherwise a viewer might think that the second photo was taken from quite a different vantage point.
What a powerful scene. You share the most beautiful photos.
Wow, the day break is amazing.

Gosh! The sky is on fire. Beautiful.
I read all of your posts and always want to comment, but don't. . . So, let this comment stand for all of those I neglected on previous posts: I love to read your blog! The sunrise you posted here is stunning. Just breathtaking, as are so many of your photos.
Thank you, Annie,
Susan
Thank you Susan. I always want to comment on people's blogs and so often don't - I don't know why that is. I shall make more effort in future as it is always lovely to receive comments
I'm sure I did comment on the glossy water which I love. Don't know where it went but I'm having problems holding on to my internet connection at the moment.
Yes a senior moment I fear. Sorry for the duplicate.
Yes, you've got to be quick to capture some of our sunrises at the moment. It makes themn all the more special I think.
Fabulous blog! X
