Seeing double

It isn't often the opposite shore of the loch is reflected with such perfection. Absolute calm, absolute stillness.

Great picture, looks like a postcard!

Thank you. The camera doesn't really capture how amazing it looked, and after I'd taken the picture I realised I'd got the camera on the wrong setting! Of course by the time I'd realised the scene had changed!

Peaceful sigh. Loved the lochs in Scotland. Rock to grass to water.

It's not just the perfection of the reflection that takes my breath away; it's the beauty of the countryside even without a double image...the variety of colours and textures and brightness; the somehow perfect degree of human presence in a scene of unbelievable natural beauty - all captured with such skill and understanding by, first your eye, and then the camera.
Thanks for showing us this Annie

Thank you so much for that comment old black! In fact I was having a camera crisis when I took it! I'd got the camera settings all wrong and the reflection on the water didn't stay for very long - I thought I'd made a right mess of it! But then I thought I'd go ahead and post it anyway!
