Being a Bit Busy

Soggy or sunny a walk in Lael Forest is a great way to start the day. We try, but often don't  succeed to walk there most some mornings.
I'm busy building up my card stock for the opening of the gallery shop at Easter. And dishcloth knitting! It was suggested I knit some for the shop in bright colours. As ever I've thrown myself wholeheartedly into the project! It is a gallery shop and I'm aware dishcloths may lower the standard somewhat! So, I've drawn an arty sort of dishcloth wrapper to help compensate. Now all that remains is to keep knitting!
Robin our son is just home from travelling in South America with his girlfriend. Apart from a brief visit when we were all together on the I.O.W last June (Robin and Sarah seen here playing on Tennyson Down by Tennyson's monument) It will be more than a year since we last saw him. He's coming to stay with us next week and I'm soooo excited....

You're doing some gorgeous work. A year's a long time, we only get to see our daughter once a year too.

Have a great time with Robin! All your projects are fabulous! I wish I had your talent! I'd also love a visit to that very tempting Gallery Shop. Lucky customers! Hope to contact you shortly. Have fun! Di XX

Lucky you with a visit from your son! Will he be returning to travelling? Ours is in New Zealand this year, following last year in Australia. The year before he was at home, working at casual jobs after graduation to save money for travelling. And I thought as our one who was the engineering graduate he would go straight into a job, and the other, the medieval historian, maybe have difficulty finding a path, but the latter knows exactly what she wants to do and is going all out for it.
Love the dishcloths, and such tempting packaging.

Diane...it sounds as if you're planning a visit to Scotland..? That would be lovely..!

Linda, Our son would happily go off travelling again I'm sure! It was purely for pleasure and he and his girl friend had a wonderful time..

I love seeing all your work in progress. I'm finding some of my making projects fun but the financial reward is scant by the time the shop slaps on the 100% mark up. Is the Gallery more generous I wonder?

Lucille, The Gallery shop takes 1/3 of the price I sell them for (yet to be decided) They're very good, but still the financial reward is not enough to make a big change in life style..! And, it is hard work particularly in the summer season..
