Phew - have just finished reading the whole of this wonderful, amazing blog, and am overwhelmed by the beauty of where you live and where you have built that lovely house, as well as the positive outlook you have on such a dramatic change in the way you live now. You give me hope that I can and will be able to make a similar profound change in the months to come - although I doubt if I'll be building my own home!
Rachel, what a lovely thing to say. Thank you so much. It gives me loads of encouragement. Of course I don't always feel positive and sometimes think we've bitten off more than we can chew! But I've never ever not for a moment regretted the move and while people tell me they're amazed at what we've done I'm more amazed that more people don't just get up and make the change they've talked about doing for so long - go for it, the real failure is not to try.
Hello Diane, yes Edith has AMD. I had to look it up before I could confirm it. She's such a positive person, we're all hoping something can be done. Yes, come up it would be lovely, then we can go to Maggie's tearoom and I can show you the sights.
Every now and then I visit your blog and find your serenity and beautiful landscapes...thank you for sharing all this! A presto (meaning see you soon) Cristina
