Ok it may well be an ex-hurricane but Bertha has proved too much for the loch side lane. Collapsed trees and mud and raging torrents of water have cut off the lochside from the outside world!
There was a tail back of at least two cars when I walked along to take some photos
It's rained and rained and rained....
It makes our little burn with it's leaky sides seem pale and insignificant by comparison!
The water flows over the wall, turns right, fortunately, and flows back into the burn again!
It does rain here (it's Scotland after all) but generally not like this. Heavy rain since yesterday evening. There have been landslides in many places. James who diverted our burn is coming back to do some adjustments, he says, before the real weather sets in?!
Ps. One day the unattractive breeze block wall will have a drystone wall in front of it.....that's the plan.

I feel for you, it's about as bad here, we've had a week of rain and another week forecast. Many roads closed and under water, we're under a flash flood warning too.
Don't divert Becks or Burns. Just cos you want a water feature. You may just get one in the living room. Never heard of anything so daft.
Dafter than having to type Camiocam.
Hope all will be well for you. That looked quite a storm in areas.
Some terrible photos of flooding up your way, and in the North-East. I bet that breeze-block looked pretty good, keeping things properly diverted... Stay dry!
Oh dear, how alarming. It's when the water eases up that you see how much debris has been left for you to clear up! Hope you stay dry.
We were I ullapool last week and saw the effect of Bertha on the road by Leckmelm and also at Dundonell.
hope things are settling down
